Guinness Storehouse Factory

The Temple Bar

Established in 1840, The Temple Bar is one of Dublin’s most famous pubs. It’s home to over 450 different types of Whiskey, giving The Temple Bar the largest collection in Ireland. You’ll find the warmest of welcomes and great craic at this traditional Irish pub, helping you feel truly at home. The Temple Bar hosts live music every day and is packed with character, from the bronze statue of James Joyce to the low hanging lamps lighting your route to the busy bar. Temple bar is just a short walk from Jacobs Inn Dublin Hostel, or a 10 minute bus journey!

The Church

Built at the beginning of the 18th century, The Church is home to over 320 years of curious history. The former St Mary’s Church of Ireland closed in 1964, before being bought by John Keating in 1997. It took seven years to fully restore the stunning building, before reopening in 2005. The building was bought by new owners and renamed “The Church Bar and Restaurant” in 2007, and it now boasts a Café, Night Club and a Barbeque area on the terrace. Aside from being a cracking night out, The Church offers visitors the chance to learn more about Dublin’s rich history, and it’s definitely worth a visit during your stay at Jacobs Inn Dublin!

Longitude Festival

Longitude Festival takes place every year in July in Dublin. Marlay Park has been home to the festival since 2013, bringing some of the biggest names in music to Ireland, with the likes of Stomzy, Skepta and Dua Lipa in previous years. Tickets for Longitude Festival 2023 are on sale now, with the lineup usually announced in January. It’s a non-camping festival, so if you need somewhere to stay make sure to book early at Jacobs Inn Dublin!

St Patrick’s Day Festival

The world-famous St Patrick’s Day Festival returns on March 17th each year, bringing Dublin to life and awash with green. The iconic parade winds its way through the streets of Ireland’s capital, watched by huge crowds that gather from across the country and beyond. The festival features over 4,000 of Ireland’s best performers, dancers, musicians and artists, joined by world-class marching bands that travel from every corner of the globe to join in!
