If it was any closer, you’d be in the river Liffey! We’re beside the main Bus station (Busaras), just 2 minutes from Connolly Street train stations. The O’Connell Street and Henry Street shopping area is just 5 minutes’ walk away and Temple bar is about 12 minutes’ walk away. Did we mention we’re also close to the Luas??
Our full Irish Buffet Breakfast buffet includes bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, hash brown, black and white pudding, cereal, porridge, toast, juice, fresh fruit, ham, cheese, filter coffee and tea, all for €12 per person. If you fancy something lighter, we have a range of tasty, freshly made bagels, muesli pots or pastries that you can order from the bar. Don’t forget about our amazing coffee, roasted locally and prepared expertly by our team to get your day started off right!
Bed linen is included and beds are made up ready for your arrival. Towels can be hired at an extra fee. Our deluxe double rooms and twin rooms have towels included.

No. Dublin is a bit like New York in that way, it never sleeps!
Reception is open 24 hours a day. We just ask that you respect your roommates if coming in late. Quiet is requested between 11pm and 7am in rooms and corridors
No, we have unisex rooms, male-only dorms and female-only dorms. Whatever you want, it’s up to you ….. and your friends!
All dormitories and private rooms are En Suite, with toilet and shower. There are more communal bathrooms on the floors, so nobody gets caught out!
We’re very open-minded, we like all types of money: credit cards -MasterCard and Visa, Debit Cards. When making your reservation be sure to give us either a deposit or your credit card, to guarantee the reservation.
If you made an individual standard reservation with us directly, we will accept cancellations up to 72 hours prior to the date of arrival. If cancelled later or in the event of a no show the full balance of the booking will be charged. If you booked through a 3rd party we may require longer – if in doubt, email us. Any Advance purchase ‘Pay Now’ reservations are unfortunately non-modifiable and non-refundable.
For groups, we require pre-payment on bookings of 8 or more persons. Any group cancellations must be made in writing 4 weeks before the arrival date of the group.
The only membership you require is membership of the human race! Jacobs Inn Dublin is proud to be an Independent Hostel. We are members of the Independent Holiday Hostels of Ireland Association (Including the reserve right to refuse admission if behaviour is deemed unacceptable)
To check in guests must provide a valid government issued ID and a credit card in their name… and have enough money to pay for your bed for the night. It’s that simple!
Groups that include people under 18 must include adults of 18+. Individual travellers must be 18 to check-in.
Families travelling with children under the age of 16 are welcome but we ask that they book private rooms. Dormitories are not appropriate for family accommodation.
First of all, you have to be over 18 to drink alcohol in the Republic of Ireland. If you are old enough, we have a fantastic bar on site where you can grab a pint of Guinness, a glass of wine, or some local spirits to get a taste of Ireland.
You are only able to book a maximum of 14 nights, online and directly as we are a short stay hostel. We also operate a min stay policy for some weekends/events. Should you wish to extend your stay this is entirely at the discretion of management. Management also reserves the right to refuse admission.
Lastly, if you’re boozing while others are snoozing, show respect. Please keep the noise levels down between 11 pm and 7 am.
